[ They know a lot. And there’s so much he still doesn’t know. Remedying that deficiency is a top priority, something that he needs to do as soon as possible, because information is tantamount if they ever want to find a way out of this place. And Sanji does. They both do, and he knows it, both want to find their way home back to where Luffy and Zoro and Usopp are waiting for them. There are dreams to fulfill, an adventure to go on, and a crew that needs them as surely as they need their crew in return.

It’s a thought that lingers at the back of his mind, something to return to later, always something to give him motivation to get the hell out of this place. It lingers, but it dulls in the wake of that first kiss, all extraneous thought replaced by the sudden surge of single-minded want that rushes through him.

None of that is new. From the moment he laid eyes on her, he’d wanted her. It had been different, then, a sudden attraction that was based on nothing else than how gorgeous she was and an instinct that she was a good person, a streak of vibrancy that briefly lit up the increasingly dull existence that life on the Baratie was coming. But then he’d seen her save her Captain, put her life on the line for her village, let herself be painted a villain for the sake of the people she cared about— and all of that just strengthened those feelings of fondness, of admiration into an almost overwhelming amount of affection.

It isn’t new, but the ease at which they both fall into this— that is new. Back home, there had been clear boundaries set between them, her own uncertainty at how to handle being cared for mixing with his own reluctance to push for more and their relationship as crewmates. Here, they’ve dissolved, they’ve gone away completely, and that brings him more joy than he cares to admit right now.

Should’ve known it was. You’re even more clever than you’re beautiful, and that’s saying something. Always have the best plans. [ His eyes are bright with that fondness as he chuckles softly, shivering at the implication. There’s no resistance to him as she draws him deeper into her suite, no hesitancy to go along with her. Sanji might theoretically be able to see their surroundings easier, but every drop of his attention is focused and fixated on her. She takes another step backwards, and he steals another quick kiss the second he steps forward, mouth hungry and demanding against hers.

It repeats like that as they wind their way deeper, an endless stream of kisses mixed with slow steps, his hand roaming over the soft skin all along her back, touch almost reverent as it gently maps the slope of her spine, the curve of her waist, the rise of her shoulder blades. It all feels like a blur, despite the slowness of their progress, because each kiss makes his lips ache for more and sharpen his focus on her, bright eyes growing hazier with want with every step they take.

And then at some point, those quick kisses no longer suffice. He pauses, then, feet planted firmly on the ground, arms holding her tight as Sanji’s mouth crashes down against hers, the desire burning in his gut requiring more, needing more as he claims her mouth in a hard kiss that refuses to relent, her name a soft groan of desire that he rumbles against her lips.
